The professional
staff of Clay Center Family Physicians has been providing quality medical
care to the citizens of Clay
Center and
surrounding communities for over twenty years. A highly trained staff
of seven board-certified physicians
(MD), a physician assistant (PA), and a nurse practitioner (ARNP) provide
comprehensive health care to families in three counties. The medical staff
also cares for the residents of seven area nursing homes.
In addition to the
main office in Clay Center, medical services are provided at satellite
clinics in Linn and Clyde. Each facility is a Medicare certified Rural
Health Clinic. The clinic has a lab that is nationally accredited.
- Medical Staff: Our professional
staff consists of Kent Erickson M.D., Timothy Penner M.D., Marian
Nelson M.D., Cary Murphy M.D., John Kelley M.D., Chance Williams M.D.,
and Elizabeth Koerner M.D. Rounding out the staff are Don
Nebelung, PA-C, and Kay Cummins ARNP. Dr. Penner also serves as
the Clay County Health Department Medical Director.

Management Team: Roxanne Schottel, RHIT runs the business office, Marcey Fickbohm, MT(ASCP)
supervises the lab and nursing staffs.

Registration: When you make your first visit to one of our clinics, please
arrive a little early in order to complete the registration process. Be
sure and bring in a current insurance card(s). We appreciate your help in
keeping our records as current as possible.

Appointments: We work from an appointment schedule. To book an
appointment, please call the applicable phone number found on the locations page. Whenever possible schedule
non-emergency visits as far in advance as possible. Acute illness or urgent
care appointments are available on a daily basis. If you are unable to
keep your scheduled appointment please call our office as soon as possible
to reschedule or cancel.
- Insurance: We process claims with
nearly every major insurance company including BlueCross BlueShield,
Preferred Health, AARP, and Medicare to name a few.
- Hospitalization: In the event you need to
be hospitalized, all of our providers are active members of the
medical staff at Clay
County Medical
Center. Should
medical consultation be needed, our providers are well connected with
the specialists in Manhattan, Topeka, Salina, Wichita and Kansas
City.
